What Facebook ad copy is best? What are the best Google Ads headlines to use?
Let’s cut right to the chase. For me this year, it’s been one or all of the below three things. These are some of the actual top ad copy variations I’ve used in Facebook, LinkedIn and Google ads this year across all my clients in a variety of industries.
#1. ACTIONS. Short and sweet headlines where the first word is a direct action you want your customer to take:
· “Go Off-Grid With Solar”
· “Take Your Career To The Next Level”
· “Stand Out With An Advanced Degree”
· “Put Your Business Taxes On Auto Pilot”
· “Get Your Kidneys Checked”
#2. QUESTIONS. Starting an ad with a question has also been successful for me, and works especially well in the ‘Primary Text’. Here are some examples I’ve used this year:
· “Do you know how much your business owes in taxes?”
· “Thinking about going off-grid?”
· “Feeling tired for no reason?”
· “Tired of paying a processing fee?”
#3. NUMBERS. Nearly all ad copy versions with numbers of any kind were top performers for me across the board – on all platforms, for all clients. They stand out and feel more concrete to people. Some examples:
· “in just 16 months”
· “in less than 60 seconds”
· “1 in 8 people”
· “4-5x more likely”
Take a look at your current ads. Do you use at least one action-oriented headline? Are you asking a question in your longer ad copy placements? Can you insert a number somewhere in your ad? Supercharge your ads by combining all 3 of these elements in 1 ad and you will be ahead of the competition.
